What is Sacha Inchi?
Sacha Inchi is a woody vine that originated in the Amazon Rainforest in Peru. It grows well up to about 1700 meters. The vine produces fruit which has between 3 and 7 seeds. The seeds contain the Oil and Protein Powder.
Can I eat the Sacha Inchi Fruit?
Sacha Inchi Fruit is composed of 3 things, a fiberous husk (similar to a cocont), a hard hull (like a shell) that covers the seed and the seed. The seed is the only piece of the fruit that is edible.
Is Sacha Inchi a nut?
No Sacha Inchi is not a nut. The seeds are sometimes called nuts but they do not belong to the same plant species.
How should I store my Sacha Inchi Oil?
Sacha Inchi Oil should be stored in a coo dark place away from heat and light. Keeping it in the firdge is ok. The Oil is best fresh but it will last for some time when stored correctly. Check the useby date.
Are your plants grown organically?
Yes, we grow all of our plants in and around Udon Thani in Thailand. Our farmers follow organic principles when managing their plants, no pesticides or other non organic fertilizers are used. We provide training to the farmers in organic farming methods. Our pricinple farm is organically certified and other farms will in time, also become certified.
